Echo

Genre: Fiction
Summarize what happens in this book:
This book is about a harmonica, found by Echo, that goes through different time periods and helps the people in those time periods. First it helped Friedrich with his sister being a Nazi, and his father being taken away to Dachay. After that, the harmonica traveled from Germany to Pennsylvania, where Mike and Frankie are at an orphanage, Bishop. Their grandma sent them there because it was the only place with a piano. After that, they were adopted by a woman, who secretly only wanted them because of her father's will. Finally it went to Ivy, in California, who has to move again to a farm in Orange County, near Los Angeles. Then her brother went to war, but she made a friend Susan. The harmonica helped her because it made her feel magical whenever she played it, and it helped her when having to go to Lincoln Annex, instead of Lincoln Main. This is the main summary of the story. After that it shows what happened 18 years after the story.
Describe what you liked about the story or characters:
I like the story because it makes you feel like you are in it. It gives you such detail, that you feel bad for the characters at a point. I love this story.
Explain why you think other students should read this book:
I definitely think other students should read this book. It is a little slow at the beginning, but once you meet the characters, then it is all action, and you will just be holding on to your seat waiting anxiously to see what is going to happen next.
